I can't believe it's been so long! I've been busy. Once I was up and walking again I haven't stopped. I loved making the art journals for bully prevention. Please visit the classroom page for examples of the seventh graders' work. Art, literacy and social issues are a perfect match for me. Then it was summer and I'm teaching construction classes- Fairy Houses at CCAA.
I'm very excited about my new position of Arts Education Coordinator at Cotuit Center for the Arts. I'm looking for donations of time and materials as we prepare for the big renovations at the Art Barn. Want to join in the renovation fun?

Last week I started journals with 95 students in the Barnstable Intermediate School. I wrote a grant with an English teacher and it was funded through DOE and the anti-bully intiative in this state. Seventh graders are making art jounals to learn about themselves and to increase empathy for others. What fun!
The makeover is finished. Sam will join me to teach classes from time to time. He will be featured on videos that go with the Kits in the Mail. The first kit will be mailed next week. Sign up soon to be included in the first mailing.
I love this picture of my sister Lisa and I. We had a family get together this past weekend to celebrate our Mom's 80th birthday. We downloaded old slides and enjoyed reminiscing about our childhoods. Neither one of us could remember what this photo was all about. I have to make this a journal page.
I am excited about the first series of ten art kits. They include a real variety of projects, including lettering, printmaking, watercolor techniques, transfers, making pockets and more. Expect good quality papers and art materials to make good quality work. The first kit will be mailed in mid April to finish the series by mid June. It is always fun to get good mail. Quantities are limited so sign up soon.
Here are some possible new hairdos for Sam. The two on the left could be trimmed. They each give him a different look.
Hi. I've had more work done. I have a new mouth and more. I begged Lenore for teeth but she said that would look ridiculous. I guess I'll have to give up my life long dream of playing the BB wolf in any all puppet production of Little Red Riding Hood. What should my new goal be?
